Marcello
Sabatini is a senior IT strategy consultant who offers support to
companies in the process of defining IT strategies and in the first
stages of their execution
His help complements the
professionalism and skills of the team with established methods for
strategy definition and with nearly 30 years of technical and
managerial experience in the IT industry
The
definition of a strategy for the information technology is a team
effort that requires:
- a
well defined corporate strategy
- strong sponsorship by the top
management
- knowledge of the company's business model
knowledge
of the markets in which the company competes
These
are values that companies already have and which must be the
starting point for the IT strategy definition process. However, there might be areas of weakness of the internal teams that include: - unsufficient
knowledge of the IT markets' offering
- method, experience and
objectivity
These
are weaknesses that may jeopardize the work and may lead to the definition of
strategies that can be difficult to execute. My contribution is to
integrate the knowledge and skills of the internal team with
methods for the facilitation of cooperation, with the knowledge of
technology and the IT markets, with the experience on using methods
to define IT strategies having clear relationships with the
corporate business goals.
It
is not always necessary to have long duration cooperations: sometimes even the
collaboration of a few days (even one day) of joint work can help removing
doubts and facilitate your decisions. For more details on how we can
work together on your IT strategy please contact me without any
commitment. I will answer you as soon as possible.

Columbus is the european module currently on orbit as part of the

Marcello is particularly active in the 'area of software
engineering; he contributed to the definition of the Columbus Software
Development Standards, with particular emphasis on aspects related to
the design of object-oriented software and the transition from
functional software specification to object-oriented software
architectures. He assumed the role of head of research and guided
several European consortia on projects related to the integration of
multimedia, internet and geographic information systems. In all
activities, the common denominator was the strategic alignment

his activities has been determinant to the development of Marcello's
attitude to teamwork, to his strong orientation to clear strategic
objectives and the use of rigorous methods. In the several
industrial frameworks in which he worked Marcello acquired deep
knowledge of the IT industry: from embedded systems to information
systems for the business market. The development of the ability to
